A commitment to INTEGRITY and a passion for quality.
Get to know the owners behind Blandings House and their vision for traditional-quality renovations in Virginia’s historical area.
Franklin Segovia, owner
Born in beautiful El Salvador, Franklin began working with his father and grandfather in traditional methods of craftsmanship at a young age. His family’s estate was prominent in the community and they were known for their virtues of charity and generosity, which shaped his business worldview. Always fixing or making something, he was held to the highest standards by the craftsmen in his own family.
After traveling the world playing soccer, he eventually moved to Richmond, Virginia and met his beautiful and talented wife Eden and returned back to his first love of craftsmanship and building.
Together they moved to Texas, where they renovated and decorated their own historic 1900s farmhouse. Franklin continued in construction, specializing in high-end electric work in the pool industry. After moving back home to Virginia, Franklin has brought his unique skills and life experience together to form “Blandings House,” a renovation and handyman business with a focus on old-fashioned good work and good business.
When not working, Franklin can be found at home playing with his young sons, passing along to them the traditions of craftsmanship he was taught at a young age. He is also often at his church, where he serves as Junior Warden and oversees the preservation of their unique historic property.
He still loves soccer, food, and good fellowship.

What is “Blandings house?”
Blandings House is named for the Blandings Estate in the books by famed English author P. G. Wodehouse. It is a place of civility and tradition but also humor, wit, and genuine joy.
“Sunshine, calling to all right-thinking men to come out and revel in its heartening warmth, poured in at the windows of the great library of Blandings Castle.”
